Per farne una del tutto simile a quella che vedete nella foto, bastano queste cose:
Alcuni fogli di carta da origami di 15x15 cm
Fobici, righello, taglierino, scotch
Un pennello e della vernice trasparente per carta
Un pezzo di spago lungo circa un metro e mezzo
To make a paper star garland you need:
Some sheets of origami paper 15x15 cm (6x6 in)
scissors, ruler, cutter, scotch-tape
A brush and varnish for paper
A piece of string or thick thread about a meter and a half long
La prima cosa da fare è ovviamente realizzare le stelline di carta, che come avrete ormai intuito sono fatte con la tecnica origami.
Non si parte però da un foglio quadrato, ma serve una striscia di carta lunga e stretta. Per realizzarla ho fatto così:
- ho tagliato in 6 listarelle il mio foglio da origami. Perché risultino 6 liste tutte uguali, basta piegare il foglio prima a metà e poi ogni metà in 3 parti uguali. Poi, munite di taglierino e righello si procede al taglio.
- Ne ho unite 3 collegando le estremità con un pezzetto di nastro adesivo, ovviamente appiccicato sul retro dei fogli. In questo modo con un foglio vengono fuori 2 strisce lunghe.
Obviously, first of all you have to create the paper stars, which, as you may have guessed by now, are made with the origami technique.
You're not going to use a square sheet, but a long and narrow strip of paper. Here is how to make it:
- cut into 6 strips an origami paper sheet. Just fold the sheet in half and then each half into 3 equal parts. Then, cut the paper with the help of a cutter and a ruler.
- stick together three pieces of paper, using some tape on the back of the paper. By doing this, you will realize 2 long strips out of a sheet of origami paper.

Con le strisce poi ho fatto le stelline: vi consiglio di seguire questo tutorial, che è anche il video che ho guardato io per imparare.

Insomma, prima si realizza il pentagono, poi si schiacciano con delicatezza i lati e la stella è pronta!
In short, you first have to fold a paper pentagon, then gently squeeze the sides ... and the star is ready!
Ne ho fatte 8, dopodiché le ho spennellate con la vernice da carta per renderle più resistenti e lucide.
I made 8 stars, then I painted them with varnish to make them more durable and shiny.
A questo punto, bisogna trafiggere con un ago da lana la stelle: attraverso quei 2 buchi, sempre con l’aiuto dell’ago, ci faremo passare lo spago, che quindi più sottile è più è semplice da gestire. Io ho usato un twine tipo questo, che mi piace troppo. Ma anche un bel filo di lana colorato va molto bene ed è semplice da gestire. Oppure della rafia sottile … insomma, fate voi!
Infine ho bloccato le stelle con dei nodini che le tengano ferme.
Then, you have to pierce each star with a needle: insert the thread through the resulting 2 holes in each star, using the needle. I used a twine like this. But you can also use a nice colored wool thread, or raffia if you like it.
Finally, I made little knots on each side of every star, to keep them still.
La ghirlanda è pronta … da regalare! A un’amica, che come me è appassionata di cosine fai-da-te! (E ho fatto anche la rima)
